The Better Together Awards of Excellence 2027

An evening dedicated to recognising and celebrating neurodivergent children and young people across the Isle of Man.

These awards aren't for being neurodivergent. They're for what children and young people achieve — the determination, kindness, courage and creativity that too often go unseen.

Neurodivergence is part of who someone is — never the thing they're awarded for.

Why we're holding it

Every achievement matters — and achievement looks different for everyone

Success might be an exam passed. Or a return to school after a hard time. A friend made, a stage stepped onto, a goal scored — or something that once felt impossible.

These awards exist to see those moments — and to give children and young people a moment where the room celebrates them.

The aim is simple: families leave proud, and young people leave knowing they've been seen — a night that feels positive and aspirational, especially for teenagers.

Nominations

Nominations open soon

Nominations aren't open just yet. We're taking care to get the categories and criteria right for our young people. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, or check back here — we'll announce the moment nominations open.

Who will be able to nominate

Anyone who knows a child or young person well — parents, carers, family, teachers, coaches, support workers.

What a nomination will ask

Tell us about the young person as an individual: what they've achieved, and why they deserve recognition. With consent, you'll also be able to share photos or a short video, which may feature in the evening's presentation for selected recipients.

Full criteria, dates, age requirements, consent details and categories will be confirmed before nominations open.

Categories

Award categories

Categories are being finalised — carefully.

We don't want children boxed into labels based purely on a diagnosis. The emphasis will always be on the individual and what they have achieved, so we're taking the time to get the categories right. They’ll be announced here before nominations open.

Sponsors & supporters

Our sponsors and supporters will be celebrated here.

As businesses and organisations get behind the Awards, we'll recognise them in this space.
